A Bit About Me

Hi, my name is Rica, 30 years old from the Philippines. I am a mom of 2 beautiful girls. After working in several companies with different industries in the corporate world, I was unemployed for three years because no one hired me, so I decided to sell online other products such as bags, clothes, cellphone accessories, and more. I built my online shop from different platforms and look what is best, and I worked there for two years. However, competition is tight, and profit is insufficient to sustain our everyday expenses. Then I tried to sell chicken wings and takoyaki in front of our house. My friend and I made the recipes, and they taste good! However, my friend got pregnant, and I needed to run the store alone; it was hard because my youngest daughter was six months old at that time, so I had to give up the store. That's the time I decided to study for a home-based job!

I was so frustrated initially; it was so overwhelmed, but I got hooked on this thing, so I pushed it so hard. I  enrolled first in online bookkeeping, and I thought it was easy, like what the coach told on her video ads. And because I wasn't really onto numbers, I didn't pursue the bookkeeping. I want work that has to do designing and research, and that's when I enrolled again in Social Media Management. I enjoyed this course, and that was when I was determined to work on my portfolio and started to apply. While I'm applying, I always try to explore how to improve my portfolio using different tools, except in canva, I learned how to build a website from Wix and WordPress. I am now in a position that I didn't imagine before, and it feels so amazing.

My ideal client is someone who has appreciation and understanding. A client that knows how to value people. A goal-getter and ambitious. A client who wants a positive environment believes that mental health is essential because it will affect the quality of work.
